With AA awards for both Breakfast and Dinner, owner and hostess, Jo lets her imagination run riot with dishes that celebrate the seasons as well as the countryside and local surrounding areas and whilst the menu can change on a daily basis depending on what’s in season, a few firm favourites are always available.

Jo attended LEITHS in the Autumn of 2001 and as she recalls at that stage, she ‘couldn’t cook an egg!’ Since then, she has developed a love for cooking and gone from strength to strength describing herself now as a ‘very good home cook’ who has won countless prizes at local country fairs for her cakes and breads. She is also very well known throughout the local villages for her speciality Fish Pie – everyone who has experienced it comments that it’s ‘best they’ve ever tasted’! Jo’s Fish Pie is always on the menu ……………………..

If you are staying at Broadacres to attend Glyndebourne, why not spoil yourself with a fabulous picnic with every conceivable trimming. Porter service is available with prices starting from £30 per person.

As we are not licensed at present, please bring your own wine, which we will be happy to chill if required.

Homemade Salmon Mousse with freshly baked rolls

A selection of Smoked Salmon and Gravelax with a mustard and honey sauce

A light Summer Salad of Rocket, Mozzarella, Prosciutto, Honey Dew Melon, and Parsley with an Olive Oil and Lemon Dressing and accompanying Potato and Caper Salad

Strawberries and Clotted Cream with homemade Shortbread Cookies

Chilled homemade Lemonade or Elderflower cordial

Selection of cheeses, with local pickles, grapes, crusty bread and oatcakes… £15.00

Smoked salmon platter, tiger prawns, with a lemon and caper mayonnaise served with speciality local breads.. £17.50
